Ashley Loucks, a born and raised Washingtonian, has over 15 years of competitive experience in eventing. She has found her home at Caber Farm, working with John Camlin for the last 16 years, where she is a rider and trainer.

Ashley got her start in Pony Club, completing her "B" level certification. She is also a PATH Certified Instructor for animal assisted therapy, and worked for Rainier Therapeutic Riding from 2015–2018.

She is now working toward her ECP certification while continuing to coach and compete in Area VII. Since 2018, Ashley has run a successful lesson program out of Northwind Sporthorse in Olympia, WA. She teaches all ages and levels with compassion, meeting each student and horse where they are.

Ashley truly enjoys both teaching, training, and competing. Her tact, determination, and poise in the saddle is indicative of her years of experience and passion for the sport. She's brought three personal horses up the levels from Beginner Novice to Intermediate, and racked up over 10 FEI competitions, 70 preliminaries, 25 intermediates. She also saw early success in her career as the 2012 Jr YR Preliminary Rider of the Year for Area VII, and 5th in the US JR YR Preliminary Rider category.

Outside of horses, Ashley has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Martin’s University, is a certified Plant Lady, and mom to a Jack Russell named Gus who has more devoted fans than Boyd Martin.
