Mirage

2015 13.2hh Welsh/Lipizzaner Mare

Mirage is the cutest little fancy pony looking for her new situation! Unfortunately for us, her current teen has outgrown her. She and her kid have had lots of fun over the past four years, focusing on Dressage and Eventing but has played around with all sorts of stuff, as all kids do. Mirage has been riding at Training level dressage, schools most of her lateral work and has room to learn lots more. Mirage’s kid wants to event, so she has schooled up to BN and Novice in Eventing but it was quite a push for her. She would be far more comfortable with the introduction to jumping, 2’ and below, and is very good over poles and Cavalletti’s!

For being small, she does have a large horse-sized stride, covering plenty of ground. She has lovely and balanced gaits and could really show off her potential in the dressage arena!

She has competed in recognized shows, schooling shows, hauls out for regular lessons, extreme trail courses, trail rides, and beaches play days. She does love to be worked and loves attention from her person.

While her current rider is more advanced, she is regularly handled and cared for by beginner kids and is used to being caught in the pasture, climbed on, loved on, played with, groomed, stretched and fed. Being a pony, Mirage is always aware of her surroundings and does need someone who is willing to give her the support when she needs. She is a good balance between a whoa and go ride.

She has been VERY well maintained, in a training program, on a nutritionist diet, saddles have always been fitted, regular body work, utd on all vet and farrier care. She has good hearty feet that have been barefoot all her life. No past injuries and no vices. She lands in the middle of the hierarchy of the herd when turned out with others.
